You don't require any medications at present. If the pain is unbearable you can have a painkiller. Apply ice over the swelling to have it under control. Watch out for these symptoms:
- Headache that gets worse or does not go away.
- Weakness, numbness or problems with coordination.
- Repeated vomiting or nausea (early on)
- Slurred speech.
- Extreme drowsiness, cannot be awakened.
- Convulsions or seizures.
- One pupil (the black part in the middle of the eye) looks larger than the other.
If any of these signs are present visit the ER at the earliest.
