My sugar level increased after Covid Took steroids for 4-5 days. Now sugar fasting is 130 and PP 230 without tablet. With 1 Metformin 500 at breakfast, fasting is 114 PP is 162. With 0.5 Metformin 500 at breakfast, fasting is 124 PP is 179. Which medicine should I continue and Is this diabetes permanent ? I never had diabetes before covid. Plz suggest.

Covid infection and steroids used to treat it can cause temporary elevation in sugars. The goal fasting sugars is less than 120 and 2 hrs post meal is less than 140.
