High heart rate and high bp

Whenever I visit the doctors off I have a high heart rate around 100-120 but when I am home whenever I check my heart rate its normal between 80-100. Does the high heart is also increasing my bp ? From last 2-3 visits my bp has been above 140/80. I am already on bp medication. My reports are normal i.e echo is normal, LTF is normal, lipid is normal, urea and creatinine is normal, blood sugar is also normal. I exercise at least 30 mins daily (body weight exercise or normal walking, sometimes jogging)with no bad habits. I am eating very normal diet with less oil and salt and lots of veggies and fruits. I am thinking of rejoining a gym, I used to go to gym before lockdown. Is it ok to start lifting weights again?
