Hi thanks for writing to Practo consult. This is surely not typhoid (depending on tests alone) I would like to know 1. How many days child has fever? How frequently it is and how severe is it? 2. Are there any other associated new symptoms? Meanwhile you may give him fever medicine every 6hours or only when child has fever. Also note that keep child well hydrated with at least 8-10 glasses of fluid which may include water, fruit juice, curds, butter milk etc. And food as desired. If fever does not subside by 1-2 days or if child has any associated new symptoms please visit doctor in person.
