ESR is a non-specific indicator of inflammation.
Normal is less than 25mm/hr. So if your ESR value is 26, it is nothing to worry about.
If it is high it can mean any of the following:
Endocarditis
Malignancy
PID
Serious Infections
Temporal Arteritis
. . . and many other conditions.
