Is she taking any BP medicines? Or Urine pills (Diuretics) ??
Diuretics given to control BP sometimes cause low sodium (Hyponatremia) due to loss of
electrolytes in the urine (Sodium, Potassium,
Calcium and Magnesium).
And as such, Sodium level of 132 is not alarming!
Taking extra salt will definitely improve it, but it might have a worse effect on BP. (Salt increases BP; You must have heard doctors telling BP patients not to comsume more than 5g salt per day)
