Hicky mark on neck but not a hicky

I noticed a hicky type mark on my neck the other day. Yesterday I noticed it was starting to go away. I came out the shower today to a larger and darker mark. I don't suffer any other health issues apart from developing a cold today other than that I'm healthy.
