Can inactive chronic hepatitis b reactivate even after taking antiviral treatment?? What makes virus reactivate??

Inactive HBsAg carriers are prone to spontaneous reactivations and should remain on follow-up as they also have risk of cirrhosis / HCC. Family members and spouse should be screened and then vaccinated accordingly
