Hairloss is a very broad category which involves several diseases or physiological phenomenon. If you are going bald but not losing too much hair visibly, you are probably suffering from Androgenetic alopecia, commonly called as male pattern baldness. Usually those with male pattern baldness developing at such an early age have a family history of baldness. Another common cause of hair loss called telogen effluvium is a temporary loss of hair. Here a patient generally loses a lot of hair but there is no visible balding. This follows any stress on the body including a prolonged or high fever, diet control or fasting, mental stress, certain medicines etc. Telogen hair loss usually recovers when the stressor is not present and recovers completely in 3 to 6 months. If you have no visible areas of baldness then it is safe to try a good balanced diet and wait for a few months for the hairloss to recover. However Androgenetic alopecia is progressive. The more u delay treatment in Androgenetic alopecia the worse results you will have. Hope your query is clear. Warm regards. Dr. Rajdeep Mysore. Chirag Hospital Bangalore
