Heavy bleeding for 8 days - menopause

Is it normal to have continuous bleeding for 8 days for 51 year old women after 2 month gap? My mother is expecting her menopause, but still bleeding is happening. Is it normal? She feels quite weak because of continuous bleeding at this age. Please help us with the same.

Do Cbc chemistry And  speculum examination Tab clip mf twice daily for 3 days. Oral iron Do uss .for endometrial thickness and ovaries. Sonetimes periods become irregular and heavy in premenopausal stage.

Please get her evaluated. If endometrial thickness is more in ultrasound, D and C and biopsy of endometrial tissue to be sent for evaluation. Also pap' smear and breast scan is suggested. Get her thyroid hormone checked as well

no not at all it is not normal kindly do a transvaginal ultrasound per speculum examination and pap smear to rule out major issues in the uterus
