Ischemic Heart Disease does have a genetic predisposition. Hypertension is a known risk factor  too. To prevent ischemic heart disease and heart attacks, one should follow a healthy routine, including a balanced diet, get adequate sleep, regular exercise, avoid addictions, junk food, undue stress, etc and keep modifiable risk factors like hypertension in check.
