Hearing problem by one ear
Dear, i am not able to hear from my one ear, from a long time i facing this problem from a very long period, i showed this to doctor but now he is saying there is no chance to hear again by my ear, but i want to know how this can be possible because in between this period i didn't feel any pain or any type of problem which can effect my hearing,but now i am not able to hear, kindly suggest me any very good advice, i am so worried about this...
Hi there. This is Dr Satya Kiran (ENT and Cochlear implant surgeon) from Hyderabad.
Single sided hearing loss needs to be evaluated thoroughly by audiological tests, know it's level or severity. If it's too severe or profound n for a very long time, ( after necessary radioligical investigations like CT scan of temporal bones and MRI scan of brain & inner ear) u can restore near normal hearing by cochlear Implantation or pseudo binaural hearing by BAHA implantation
