Yes, the itching you had â starting in the thighs and spreading, worse at night, after contact with your brother â does sound like scabies. The lotion helped, which further confirms this. However, scabies needs to be treated properly to fully clear. Even after the mites are killed, itching can continue for 4-6 weeks because your skin is still reacting to the mite's remains. This is called post-scabies itch and is very common â it doesn't mean you still have active scabies.
But to be safe, do one proper treatment course: apply Permethrin 5% cream (Scabicid/Lyclear) all over the body from neck to toes, leave it overnight, wash off in the morning. Repeat after 7 days. All household members should do it at the same time, and wash all clothes and bedsheets in hot water.
Regarding the cold waves/chills in different body parts â this is NOT a scabies symptom at all. This sounds more like it could be related to iron deficiency/anemia or anxiety. Given that you have fatty
liver and recently had surgery, get a CBC and iron/
ferritin test done.
The gallbladder surgery has no connection to scabies whatsoever.
