Health anxiety (high blood pressure)
Is nebivolol is safe for long term i have severe anxiety issue also taking antidepressant and my blood pressure is 150/90 perviously im on atenolol 25 mg for 6 months blood pressure is 140/80 now dr prescribed me nebivolol 2.5 ?
Does this medicine is safe as im 21 year old

Atenolol and nebivolol both belong to beta blocker family. Both are given for high bp. The only problem with beta blockers is that it can cause erectile dysfunction. Nebivolol is an exception to this. It does not cause erectile dysfunction. So when beta blockers are indicated and we do not want its erectile sode effects, nebivolol is preferred over atenolol. I suggest you continue with the prescribed dose of nebivolol as you are young. No other major side effects.
