He is having epilepsy

Since 9 months age.He is 9 years almost. Had total 26 episodes in this period Was incident free for 2 years. So withdrew Encorate and Keppra over 4 months period from Dec 14 to Mar 15. It recurred in June and was put back on Encorate again. Is there any cure possible for him or should he continue medication life long?
