Having cough from last one month

I am having cough from last one month and I just cough 15 - 20 times in a day. However, at the time of coughing, sputum is coming out. I have consulted to a pharmacist and he has advised me to take a cough syrup with montelukast and levocetirizine tablet for 10 days. Its my 3rd day of taking medicine. I want to know whether I should take any medicine for early recovery or should go with this medicine? Another thing, I don't have any symptom of fever, cold or anything. Shall I go for Covid test? Please suggest.

Cough for more than 1 month without fever seems to be allergic in nature with some mild secondary bacterial infection, which can be treated by simple medication with proper consultation.
Next Steps
If it does not improve within few days some investigations like blood tests , sputum test or x ray are always advisable
