Hard Bone like bump on my Thumb joint

I have a hard, bone-like bump on my right thumb joint (palm side). It has grown and started hurting sharply after heavy lifting and exercise. In this winter it's hurting more. Please tell me: Is this fatal? Am I in danger of dying from this? I am really scared of this bump ...which I find out only 2 months ago.

Since when you have it, that is the most important question, cancers grow fast, if you had it for years then most likely it is not cancer. It is most likely a "ganglion" and you need an orthopaedic surgeon consultation.

Please share details,  is it soft and painful to touch, is it growing in size? Biopsy is needed to know exact nature of the bump. If it is painful, take combiflam one every 8hours for 3 to 4 days after meals. Tab cefixime 200mg one morning and one evening for 5days. Apply some cold pack, 3 times and hot compression 2 to 3 times daily. Consult online after 5 days. Get complete blood count and random blood sugar done and share results.
