Hanging Wisdom Tooth

2015-08-03 13:25:23
The wisdom tooth on the right side of my jaw is only half out. And it pains a lot occasionally which is getting in the way of chewing food. Can this be due to the tooth coming out entirely or will this continue? Should I get it checked?

It is highly recomended to get  removed painful partially erupted wisdom. If left untreated cause abscess formation, ulceration. In long term its precarious to cause cyst formation with expansion of jaws bone.

it is in eruption stage so you will feel pain for few days ..if it is not coming in right position then you will have problems in future like chewing, food lodgement and might be decay ..in that case it's better to remove it..

Any Malpositionted wisdom tooth is best removed. Pain, cavitation and ulceration due to rubbing on the soft inner cheek will disrupt your peace of mind. They are difficult to maintain and cause hardship. Be health smart keep only maintainable teeth. Tc
