Hi, you did not mention how many days since the hamstring injury. Anyway if it is acute (less than 2 days) rest, ice, compression can be given. Later if pain persists, Ultrasound therapy mild Stretching, jog run programme & later Strengthening has to be done moving from one step to another gradually.

If you want to know the extent of injury, ultrasonogram would help to determine if the injury is of mild, moderate or severe grade. Depending on that the treatment & Rehabilitation can be planned.
