Gums swelling

I have swelling here in gums and it has been there for 4 days aprrox and today I noticed there is also slighttt swelling below and above incisor tooth of opposite sides. It hurt when i'm chewing food as the opposing tooth bites on gum other than that there is no such problem like dysphagia or swelling on the outside of jaw. The pain radiates sometimes to jaw. Yesterday i went to the dentist he said it might be viral parotitis as it is going around but i feel that is less likely the case, or it might me??

Hello, this looks like gum and teeth issue as the teeth in the photo you have provided do not look healthy. I recommend you to visit another dentist.
