If a patient is using eye drops and eye ointment . So really is it important to wait five minutes to use ointment after drops ? If yes why ?

Every Drug has its Action.... putting over the counter drops & ointments will wash off the effective concentration of drug. Eventually drug to drug Reaction can occur. So its ideal to put a gap in putting eye drops.
