Glass microparticle in eye

I was reading something on my phone and it's screen is cracked. I feel some glass microparticle went inside my .I am having discomfort in my eye since and it's paining from inside since then .what to do I am really worried. I do not want to go to hospital due to covid. If glass shard went inside will I go blind? Can it be successfully removed?

Hi.. You will not go blind. Most probably,  there is no serious issue else you would be having too much pain,  redness etc. You can visit an eye clinic taking all precautions. Use lubricant drops meanwhile.

Sir if after thoroughly washing you still feel that something is stuck inside whenever you are blinking then better to take all safety precautions and meet any nearby Ophthalmologist for detailed Slit lamp examination. It may happen that even if the foreign body is not inside but because of it there can be some minor erosions over cornea (Circular glass like structure). So in my opinion best is to meet any nearby Ophthalmologist.
