Geographic tongue

My daughter is having patterns on outer surfaces of tongue. Only 2 patches. Papillae seem to b missing . One is my friend has seen such conditions with her kid. She said is called geographic tongue and it will be fired on its own. My kid loves spicy food, hot coffee too which I know is not good for her but she wants to take a sip when I have mine.. kindly help how to proceed

Please consult a dentist to confirm if it's actually a geographic tounge or something else... Even vitamin deficiency can lead to depapilation to name a few.

Geographic tongue is usually a self limiting condition. But see a dentist to diagnose whether your daughter actually has it or not. It could be Just loss of papillae due to consuming some hot food or drink
