Gap in front tooth after braces

2018-12-13 16:51:06
Hi, I had my braces treatment 6yrs back, and had a retainer fixed at back of the teeth. Now I feel gap in front teeth in upper line. What is the solution to it. Do I need to go through braces again?

Hi, Would suggest you to visit your orthodontist. Better to go for closure orthodontically. Your orthodontist should be able to tell you if you require braces or if it’s manageable with removable retainer. Best regards,

May be due to low frenum attachment or transeptal fibers issue .Will have to examine and suggest  treatment plan.

You may need braces again but sometimes an appliance can close a small gap. Clinical examination is required to guide you correctly.

As mentioned by u retainer, permanent retainers can cause hygiene issues like tartar accumulation and it can be a cause of new gaps coming up in between teeth.ur query is little difficult to resolve without having an examination.better to visit a dentist.

Hello........... The amount of space will decide what treatment option is better for you. Not every time you have to go for braces treatment. There are other ways to close the gap also. What is important is to assess the amount of GAP present in between the teeth. We can tell u better through proper clinical examination Regards Team TDC
