Gamma ggt above reference range

Ive been have a gamma ggt of 187 now and in december also when i git fever and severe tummy ach i got gamma ggt 173. but the doctor says its ok dont be stressed dont worry. if theres a ref range of under 45 why should this be ignored i have been going through this for 2 years. every time im asked not to worry.
