Gallbladder sludge can cause abdominal (epigastric) discomfort and vomiting too. Sludge is like sand.
kidney stones/sludge often come out through urine but gallbladder sludge/stones don’t leave the body and need to be surgically removed. No medicine can eliminate gallbladder stones. A laparoscopic cholecystectomy (surgical removal of gallbladder) is advised. If left untreated, will cause repeated discomfort, vomiting, jaundice, cholecystitis (infection of gallbladder), pancreatitis (infection of pancreas). Taking the gallbladder out is permanent solution cuz there can be recurrence of stone formation if gallbladder is still inside. Removing the gallbladder doesn’t affect digestive function and doesn’t cause any problem in the long term.
