Gabapentin long term side effects

I have been taking Nexito 5mg/day since 7 months and Gabapentin 300mg/day since 5 months. I read that taking Gabapentin for long term causes renal dysfunction. Is it so? I am literally worried if I can continue Gabapentin untill I taper Nexito 5 or should I immediately start tapering Gabapentin as it is already past 5 months? Please advise

Sir, I'm assuming u are taking Gabapentin and Nexito on advise of a doctor who knows ur symptoms and condition well.. So it would be ideal to discuss about the medicines with them.. If ur doctor is of the opinion that u r better, they may consider the next course of action...
