My son, 7 months old is g6pd deficient.. We are planning for genetic testing.. But he has very mild cough and passing green stools.. Can we go for the test? Or wait for him to get completely okay.. Do these things effect the reports? His stool has thread like little things.. He ate banana yesterday. Please reply.

Hello, genetic testing can be conducted regardless of the child's current health condition. Thank you

You can go for the testing; give steam and enterogermina amp once a day for three days for improvement in stools

This should not affect your genetic testing. It’s better to get tested as the results take a long time. And make sure you follow the list for G6 PD deficient children which must be provided to you by your doctor
