Hi... Since your tooth broke while playing.. If it's because of a hit or a fall. We need to wait and watch for at least 2 weeks to see any color change in the tooth. A high impact on the tooth due to a fall or a hit can devitalise the pulp tissue inside the tooth. In this case.. You will have to undergo an r. C. T followed by cap. In case there's no color change.. The dentist will take an X-ray to see how close the level of breakage is from the pulp inside. If it's involving the pulp or very close.. In that case again choice of treatment might be r. C. T. If not.. Then tooth can be restored esthetically with a filling or cap too without R. C. T.

It has to be managed by clinical examination & your history of tooth fracture. Solution is either restoration or filling or Root canal treatment with permanent crown.
