Fracture care

I recently suffered a non displaced fracture near my left ankle. I have no idea how to take care of the cast while walking or using washroom. I am just trying my best to cover it with plastic covers while I use washroom and making sure I put no pressure on my left leg. I need some pointers as to what I can use to make this any easier. I want to know what kind of crutches can be used, what can I use to sit on an Indian toilet, is it okay to cover my cast with saran wrap 24/7 to keep it clean & dry, should I go to the hospital if my cast gets even a little eroded or wet. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi First of all what kind of cast have they applied- POP or fibre cast Both needs to be kept dry, Pop cast can become more soggy if comes to contact with water And also u should try not to break the cast Use a axillary crutches or a walker frame while walking. U can use a plastic cover to keep it dry only during washroom.. otherwise leave it open Using Indian toilet will be little challenging so try to find alternatives Also keep the leg slightly higher while lying down with a pillow bellow the leg. Same wise while sitting keep it elevated by using a stool for keeping ur leg
