Foul smelling white discharge frm vagina

I have this white discharge coming from my vagina almost on all days , except I am on my periods.Hence panties are mostly wet. It's white creamy texture . Sometimes it looks like cream mucus .I do not have any vaginal pain during urinating. Sometimes I have slight irritation in the vaginal area. This discharge has foul smell. Onion kind of smell.

If discharge comes with burning and soreness of vagina then it's infective.. If not  then just maintain the proper hygiene of this area..  For safer side need an internal examination to rule out infection
