I understand your concerns for your mother. But please clarify a few things...
Firstly, what is the age of your mother. Alzheimer's dementia is a disorder of old age, and is more common in individuals aged above 60-65years.
Secondly, does she have any other medical problems like hypertension, which were not diagnosed yet, or have been recently diagnosed. If she has any medical problems, is she taking the tablets regularly..
Sometimes, untreated or improperly treated medical problems can lead to dementia
Thirdly, is she eating a balanced diet? Some nutritional deficiencies cause dementia
Last and most importantly, did she have any falls recently?
These are a few causes for Dementia
Because you mentioned that she stays alone, we have to look into these issues.
