Foot pain at on leg

Hi, My friend is actually getting a pain at the one of her foot...She can feel something is kind of growing...if she walks more she can feel it's getting numb and sometimes if immediate movement is there then she feels it's as a pain.Please advice me on this and also tell me which specialised doctor do we need to consult...? Thanks.
