Follicles not ruptured on 16th day

I am 38 years and trying for pregnancy. Recently doctor asked me to follicular study on 12th, 14th and 16th day and LH hormone test. My FSH was 7.72 and LH 7.4 on third day.  On day 16 my follicle size are 19×16 right side and 17×15 on left.  My periods are regular 27/28 days.  In regular periods my follicle should rupture on 14th day right.  Any reason for still not rupturing   should I do ultrasound scan again on 18th day.  Please suggest. .

Yes u need an ultrasound to document rupture Ideally in follicular monitoring we give injection fr rupture
