I have been advised fistula surgery, Is it safe and effective? Is VAAFT a new surgery is only for simple fistula or complex? Plz note:my surgeon is well experiance and known to us Plz advice

Outcome of fistula surgery depends on what type of fistula? Low / high /simple or complex. Clinical examination with MRI fistulogram  is very important to  Diagnose kind of fistula. There are many ways to treat this like- VAFT, LIFT,Laser  surgery and conventional surgery.

Fistula surgery is safe. VAAFT is a new surgery and done for simple fistula with straight tract. We have other surgeries for complex fistula in ano.
