Fibroadenoma

2023-04-02 01:36:24
This is my fibroadenoma which is irregular  shaped and the size is 1.4cm. It was categorised as birads 3 in sept 2021 and after that I did multiple follow up USG and as per recent USG the size is still 1.4 cm. Now I changed the radiologist and she categorised it as birads 4a due to its shape. Is it really possible to become malignant after being stable for 1.5 years?

Chances of turning into malignant after FNAC reported as fibroadenoma is less likely. If you have not done,FNAC , kindly do it But any swelling in the body better get removed as early as possible

Fibroadenoma is not a precursor lesion which turns malignant, as it is BIRADS 4a further evaluation is required to rule out malignancy
