Greetings!
Normal development in breast has its ebbs and flow. Nodularity (lumps) come and go due to hormonal changes happening in menstrual cycle.
A Fibroadenoma is one of the few aberrations that happen from this normal cyclical change.
It is a benign disease.
Can be followed up with a single surgeon (as he/she can keep track of the changes that happen over years)
Surgery is usually done when
- it is associated with troubling symptoms of pain or nipple discharge,
- cosmetic issues,
- sudden abrupt change in size and consistency within a weeks time
- any signs of malignancy on ultrasound scan
I would suggest you to follow it up with the same surgeon and get a followup USG scan done.
Thank you
