A doctor had suggested for getting a blood test for typhoid. My widal report for typhoid on 19th sept 2017 is as follows Salmonella typhi "O" antigen - 1:160 Salmonella typhi "H" antigen - 1:80 Salmonella paratyphi "AH" antigen - < 1:20 Salmonella paratyphi "BH" antigen - < 1:20 Please tell me weather i have typhoid or not

Hi, Widal test is positive for typhoid. But remember widal test is a non specific test and it's significant only if done after 7 days of fever. Ideally a blood culture should be done.
