Feeling of ear blocked
My husband feels his ear is blocked i. e. the feeling we get when we travel in flight because of high altitude. There is no wax and it is clean... What might be the reason and which is the best medicine or ear drop for his problem. He feels blocked, ear itchiness and somewhat uneasy.
Hello, If there's no wax the cause of ear block will be Eustachian tube block, middle ear fluid/ infection.
Ear drops won't help in these conditions, it may further increase the ear block feeling.
Steam inhalation
Decongestant nose drops like otrivin for 5 days.
Over the counter medicines like Sinarest/Wikoryl can be used.
If problem doesn't subside with these, consult ENT doctor online.
