Fear of stds
Two years ago, I had sexual encounters with prostitutes. Over the past year, I experienced symptoms such as frequent urination, pain during urination, and testicular pain, but these symptoms are not present now. Additionally, I have had severe pimples on my forehead and lips. However, my medical tests—including an ultrasound of the stomach and scrotum, urine culture, routine urine analysis, HIV test, and hepatitis B and C tests—all came back normal or non-reactive. Could I still have an STD?

Your tests, including ultrasound, urine analysis, and blood tests for HIV and hepatitis B & C, are all normal, which is reassuring. Since your urinary symptoms have resolved, the likelihood of a serious STD is low. However, some infections like chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, or herpes may not always show up on routine tests. If you’re still concerned, I recommend getting specific STD screenings, including PCR tests for chlamydia and gonorrhea, as well as syphilis and herpes blood tests. Your forehead and lip pimples may be unrelated but could benefit from a dermatological evaluation. If any symptoms return, consult a specialist for further assessment.
