Eye floaters

So I have floaters for the past 2 to 3 years. It happened suddenly, one fine day I saw something moving around my eyes out of nowhere and I realised it was floaters. After that I consulted eye doctor, though he didn't say much about it. I want to know why and how these happen, what is the cure and what has to be done? Is it very harmful? Will it affect vision? And also I was spectacles. Nowadays doctors do prescribed eye drops for dry eyes. Earlier I used to have Loc tears and now refresh tears.

Eye floaters can be there due to many reasons like vitreous degeneration, trauma, PVD. It is better to go for detailed evaluation before anything turns out to be serious.
