from your description it looks like she is developing a posterior vitreous detachment which implies separation of the retina & vitreous. (jelly of the retina). The flashes may be a symptom of retinal tear or retinal traction i.e pull. You need to watch for occurence of retinal detachment. So watch out for increase in the frequency of flashes, sudden increase in floaters & segmental vision loss. As the doctor has said you have no retinal lesion as of now you need not worry. floater may not disappear but she has to learn to ignore them. Close retinal follow up for next 6 months or till the posterior vitreous detachment is complete
