This kind of pain and discomfort on the 2nd post operative day will not be called unexpected. The dentist must have given you the instructions to be followed after the procedure---- try to stick to them as meticulously as possible. The most important instruction from what I can understand would be to do warm saline rinses multiple times in a day and keeping the area clean by gentle brushing in that area along with brushing The Other teeth.
But the one thing which I find amusing in your description is the fact that you have already undergone for extractions and will be undergoing 12 more. It is not only surprising but shocking to extract 16 teeth out of the functional 28 teeth at your age. Dentistry has advanced to such a level that even highly damaged teeth can be saved and made functional for a very very long duration to come. Have all those options of restoring the teeth been ruled out completely????? It would be great if you can post a clinical picture of your teeth or the X-rays of those teeth for a more rational opinion because I still find it very hard to believe that a person of your age is undergoing extraction of 16 teeth.
Otherwise speaking, you can undergo the extraction of other teeth after 7 to 8 days after the first procedure although the healing of the first wound will not be completely over by that time but it would be safe to go to the next step.
Regards.
