Dear patient. Firstly what makes you think that tooth is extra.and not a normal tooth in wrong position? The decision to remove the tooth depends on  multiple factors. Including patients dental health, age etc. I would recommend that you visit an Orthodontist in your city for check up and consultation. To know the exact  treatment options for you.  Start treatment early as it takes time. Hope this helped. Avoid self diagnosis and treatment.

Consult a dentist. If it’s retained milk or extra tooth that can be extracted easily ans painlessly. However if your permanent teeth are mal aligned, they can be corrected orthodontically

A visit to a dentist will confirm if it is a milk tooth that is yet to fall off. The dentist might need to take an X-ray to confirm it. If it is a milk tooth, it is relatively easy to remove under simple anaesthetic to make the region numb. No, it is not a complex process. Recovery is relatively painless after the first day or two. Regarding the misaligned teeth, it depends on the severity of the misalignment. A qualified orthodontist specializing in braces and aligners can help you correct it.
Next Steps
visit the dentist, preferably an orthodontist
