Expired eye drop

My mother has mistakenly used an eye drop whose seal was broken almost 7 months ago.  The doctor had given this to her post her laser surgery when she was diagnosed with glaucoma. Following the use of the eyedrop, her eyes have puffed up and she has an uncomfortable itching which makes her feel like something has stayed up in her right eye. Due to the Covid 19 lockdown, eye specialists are not easily available. What can we do to relieve her of this pain?
