My episiotomy stitches tore during intercourse. I gave birth 2 months ago, and the stitches seemed healed. Post intercourse with my husband, i bled a lot, which upon inspection turned out to be a tear. There is cm long tear right at the lower end of the vagina towards the anus. I am treating this wound with betadine solution. It's paining moderately. What is the best suggested course of treatment in this case? Will it require fresh stitches? Will it affect my future private life?? What are the chances of infection in the wound? Since I am nursing, will any medication affect it negatively?? Please help.
