Elbow stiffness after surgery

2021-10-21 15:29:04
I had elbow fracture surgery on 28 Sep 2020. The implants interfered with elbow movement, so were removed on 15 Jul 2021. However I can't fully extend my arm as apparently the olecranon touches humerus. Can this be corrected? How?

Hi, Need to see your latest X-ray before commenting anything. If X-ray is normal, then physiotherapy should be started as stiffness is very common after elbow injuries Consult directly for proper management

Implant in the joint surface can lead to arthritis which may be the result of inability to extend the elbow fully.
Next Steps
Get a fresh Xray of the elbow joint. Depending upon the Xray picture, you may require a MRI of the elbow to see the condition of joint
