Doctor at what age does reduction in egfr starts for healthy people? Does it start after 30 or 40? My 47 year old mother has an egfr of 112. Her serum creatinine is 0.55.

Reduction of gfr is a normal ageing process. For your mother the reports suggest normal values. Not all patients will have similar picture. The test which we measure for gfr i.e creatinine depends on so many factors like muscle mass etc. So it may be inaccurate to detect the real minor change which if happens at all.
