Hello I'm Dr Nikita Iyer. There is a tube connecting the nose and the ear called the eustachian tube which sometimes gets blocked in cases of a cold which can cause some pressure changes in the ear as well causing a fullness sensation. Sometimes there can be a fluid build up in your ear also as it isn't able to drain normally through the nose due to the cold.
Next Steps
In case your cold is resolved, you can add Otrivin (oxymetazoline) nose drops in both nostrils 2 drops each twice a day and visit an ENT doctor to take a look at your drum
Health Tips
Avoid putting any hot oil or ear drops prior to an examination
Avoid the urge of itching the ear or using ear buds either
