Audiologist is not the first option. First see an ENT specialist and get yourself examined. If there is any apparent lesion which could be as simple as wax then the specialist ll treat you accordingly. If there is no visible lesion then he ll send you to an audiologist to get the ears tested as to the type and degree of the hearing loss. Going to an audiologist directly ll give you a doubtful report as the visible causes would not be ruled out by them
